Suburban National...

Well here we go with another long transport of a Suburban. Rydogg has purchased a Suburban 551 from CJ Trott in Erie, Pa., and made arrangements with Stevasaurus Express Transport to get it to Minnesota. The first leg of the journey has begun. It happens that my son Chris lives in Erie, and was able to meet with CJ to pick up the tractor and bring it to my house in Ohio. Steve will be dropping off a trailer on his way to the Pa. show and will pick it and the tractor up on his way back home from the show. I'm about 8 miles off the turnpike on the trip from Elgin Ill. to Pa., so it will save Steve some drive time. So the Semi Trans-Continental transport is underway. Steve will most likely be along to fill in the blanks on the rest of the journey to Minnesota, and maybe a few other deliveries along the way. Here's a couple pics of the tractor being delivered this evening...

That's my son on the right and the old crotchety looking lump on the left is me. :sci-fi-marvinmartian: We ramped it into this trailer from his truck, and it will be an easy transfer into Steve's trailer from here. She's on her way Rydogg!

Thanks guys it looks to be in good hands it's amazing what you guys will do to help out a fellow collector. I see a back rest that I hadn't noticed in the previous pictures...nice bonus!!! Have some fun with it if you want. I can't wait until August when it gets to the Le Sueur show so I can see my purchase in person. Hopefully I won't find too many more for Steve to haul or i'll be renting a moving truck for him to get them here :scratchead: HMMMM gears are tuning now I still would like a 502 552 1045 the search continues.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE INVOLVED

Ryan

WOW...OK...let's get a handle on all of it. So far I have...

This suburban and mower deck at JimD's for Rydogg...Lasueur show

4 engines from CRE1992 for Rooster...LaSueur show

a 551 from RWilson for Rooster...LaSueur show

a trans from Sqounk for I think...someone that lives close to me??? pick up??? Let me know Mike.

Thanks Mike...it is for EdG in Lexington, Ill.

an Onan from Jay in NC for Duke...Charlotte show

misc. parts (including trans) from DClark for dlpaw...pick up

a 10 hsp Techy from Jones and Sons for OL550...Charlotte???

I think that is it...let me know if this is correct and inclusive. I may have to put a stamp on the wife's forehead to get her home. I am going to the show empty so I have room for refreshments to be consumed while there...and don't forget JDogg Customs. (he is going to have some For Sale horses there and he said I could ride one of them around at the show). Thanks Jordon. :) :) :) :) :)

Looks like a nice load of wheel horse stuff coming my way I am setup to leave here early Friday morning so I will see you guys around 8am. Looks like it shouldn't take much to shine up the 502 and put it in the show I'll bring gas and oil and maybe we can get it running I can't remember if it was a runner or not. The 551 looks nice a cozy inside that cab I can't wait to see em in person. Is that something else for me in the lower right corner of the last picture :orcs-cheers: and whats in the box behind the 551...bottles???

Well, the journey for the 551 and 502 is over and I need to give a BIG THANK YOU!!!! to everyone that made this possible... JimD, Chris (JimDs son) Chris T, Joe AKA smokinjoe, and most of all Steve (he doesn't look like a dinosaur) asaurus the journey is over so let the sparkles fly LOL!! :woohoo: . I just got the 502 and the rest of the trailer unloaded tonight so I could go pick up a load of hay for the kids ponies but I am leaving the 551 in the truck for now so I can show it off a little.

Here is my contribution to the 2012 show 633 701 551 502 and a 2 wheel wagon I also showed a mini Case DC that belongs to a friend of mine.

502 and 551 loaded up on my truck and trailer for their final journey to their new home, it seemed like a long summer waiting for the show so I could get them.
