Sparky-(Admin) 23,277 #2 Posted June 4, 2012 If you pull back on the clutch pedal with your foot while going uphill will it do better? If so it needs either a new clutch spring or a new drive belt (stretched out). Mike........

Sparky-(Admin) 23,277 #4 Posted June 4, 2012 Pulling the pedal back tells you that either the spring or belt is shot, doesnt matter if its on flat or uphill terrain. Dont be fooled by a good lookin belt as it could be the wrong length. Get under the machine and give the spring a look-see. It might be to long and not giving you the tension you need. There is nothing inside the manual gearboxes that can "slip", so its not your gearbox. Mike.......
specialk7492 1 #5 Posted June 5, 2012 Thanks for your help. i took a look and it just seems that the belt is just slipping. going to grab a new drive belt and it will be good as new :)
