kthack657 328 #2 Posted June 1, 2012 Nice looking tractor, looks like a 704, the bent bracket is for a seat, the long cutout is for the back rest. the other part is where it attaches to the seat. Oh almost forgot.... you are in a great place for knowledge on these little but mighty workers

Kelly 1,033 #4 Posted June 2, 2012 I'm 99% sure it is a 1964 tractor, if the engine is orig. it will be a 704 with a 7hp kohler, but it is posibale that the engine has been swapped in and it was tecumseh powered and it could have been a
Bryan d 1 #5 Posted June 2, 2012 Thanks everyone! I started it tonight it ran for about a minute. Then I realized the fuel was barely open ... so I tried again and the pull rope broke. Just my luck . So I'll try again tomorrow. What would be an approximate drive belt length? Also where could I get belt guards?? Any other help would be appreciated. Thanks again. bowtiebutler956 650 #6 Posted June 2, 2012 :WRS: I'm not sure where to find a belt guard, as these can be hard to come by, but I'm sure someone here can help. Are you planning on fixing it up, or maybe restoring it? It's good to have you aboard! Matt :flags-texas:

Kelly 1,033 #8 Posted June 2, 2012 For the belt the orig. part no. is 1576 the new part no. is 9691 and the belt is a 1/2"x 70", but it will not fit on your tractor with the engine pulley that is on it, that is not correct, it should be a 2.5" pulley, I should have a pulley and belt guard send me a PM
