JackC 617 #1 Posted June 1, 2012 I am looking for new front tires for my 1977 D-160 and for appearance sake I would like to come close to the orignal tires that came on the tractor. The original tires were Carlisle 18x8.50x8 straight rib (I believe they were straight rib although the turf glide has a similar pattern.) It appears that both tread designs are no longer produced by Carlisle but I do see where some people are selling the 18x9.5x8 sizes. Does anyone know where to get the Carlisle 18x8.50x8 size or if the 9.5s are close enough? I ordered a pair of 18x8.5x8 Carlisle turf glides from WYN Small Engine Experts but when they arrived they were not the tires I ordered. The supplier to WYN said the turf glides are no longer available and made a substitution called Fairway Pro with a completely different tread design. JackC 617 #5 Posted June 1, 2012 I did see some 9.50 but not the 8.50. Here is a picture of the tires: The 8.5s look wide enough, the 9.5s might look too wide.
