meadowfield 2,756 #1 Posted May 28, 2012 Hi all, before I tell more of the story, I need help with a 1970 Wheel Horse Ranger. Serial number 1-8756, fitted with a Tec V70-125098 engine. It is completely original and untouched, so confident it's the original engine, etc. It was assembled in the Amnor factory in Belgium and as expected the model numbers do not tie up ! According to Toro site should have V80 engine - does that make sense? Also came with a cutter deck 6-8521 which looks to be around 30", but I can't find anything on any of the usual sources thanks mark
rmaynard 16,363 #2 Posted May 28, 2012 Serial number 1-8756, fitted with a Tec V70-125098 engine. The 1-8756 in the U.S. is listed as having a V80 (electric start), however the parts list refers to the above engine (recoil start) as available on the 1-8752. Both are 1970 Lawn Rangers. My theory is that the Belgium factory may have place the wrong ID tag on your tractor.
meadowfield 2,756 #3 Posted May 28, 2012 Bob, as with most Belgian Wheel Horses you are probably right, the ID tags almost seem random on some models with the stickers and engine model being the easiest way to identify things... mark
