Looking for info on Electric Wheel Horse..

Does anyone have any idea how many of the GE/ Wheel Horse electrics were built for Wheel Horse. A friend of mine has a couple of these and we want to find out how many were built after Mr. Pond bought out that tractor division? Thanks

If not mistaken this agreement was made after Mr. Pond had sold the company. I believe he owned the company until 1973 and the electric's came later in the 70's and then again in the early 80's. As far as production numbers.........haven't heard of a specific number. The tractors are pretty nice but the attachments that go with them are much nicer. :)

Thanks for the info, it was my understanding that Mr. Pond was very invovled in the purchase and prodution of these after he bought them from GE. But, I could be mistaken.

I hope to find out some real prodution numbers, maybe someone has some good info on these tractors.

I saw one at the WH show last year and was very interested in the electric tractor. my Dad's 1977 sales brochure had electric A/B/C's and they look cool and silent!

My husband and I have an original one, the one that looks like a rear engine rider...it is interesting because the deck was originally the GE yellow, and WH painted it red, Sorry I dont now how many were made, but they are FAST...lol

Bought a manual a couple of weeks ago that has some letters from wheel horse to ge after they bought them very interesting but dont know how many were built
