Ken B 3,189 #1 Posted May 25, 2012 Over the past few days I put some paint on the 550. I know the decals aren't correct for an H60 Tecumseh but I had an extra set, I think it looks better with them.

Hammerhead 817 #4 Posted May 25, 2012 Great job on the 550, it looks good! It should have the 5.5 hp Tecumseh decals, even tough it may be a 6 hp. motor, so it seems better to me too! I also like the original condition seat cover, I have a few on my WH's too and they add alot to a tractor! KJ

Ken B 3,189 #11 Posted May 25, 2012 Tractor Looks great Ken Is the mower in the top pic going to get some new paint also ? I think I might repaint the mower as well. I'll have to take it all apart to do it right. The only thing I didn't take off the tractor while painting it is the rear diff. I hurt my back a few weeks ago and it is still sore. The previous owner of this 550 did all of the hard work. He sandblasted and cleaned everything real good so I started off with a pretty clean machine. I filled in the pits left by the blaster and put some resto series on thru my HVLP. Dang! I thought this was gonna be about Ray!! Well excuuusssssse me Butch. So sorry. Why would I start a topic about Ray? :angry-nono:

Wheel Horse Kid 105 #15 Posted May 25, 2012 Great looking 550 there! Love the front mower!
Ken B 3,189 #16 Posted July 7, 2012 This tractor has gone thru a few changes, gone are the Lauson and Tecky issues. At the Big Show I bought a K91 and bolted it on. It wasn't supposed too smoke but it did, like a chimney! I took care of that and it now runs super strong. Over the past few days I tore the mower deck apart, all it really needed was a good cleaning, a new belt and a fresh coat of Resto Series paint. Did these mower decks have something on the front of the deck when new to prevent grass from blowing out the front? Does anyone have a pic of the rod that goes back to the rear hitch and maybe a length of the rod?
