OhioGuy89 4 #1 Posted May 19, 2012 Hi everyone, I'm new here, and I need some help identifying a couple old WheelHorses I've got. The one says " Raider 12" on the side, and has a Kohler Engine. The model number, from what I can tell is 1-6241, and the Serial # is 570314. The Second Tractor says " WheelHorse 657" on the side, and has Kohler Engine. The model # is 1-657, and the Serial # is 317337. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
OhioGuy89 4 #2 Posted May 19, 2012 I've uploaded photos of the tractors in a gallery entitled " Our Wheelhorses"
redhorse100 4 #3 Posted May 19, 2012 hi the raider number comes up 1969 and the wheel horse with 657 comes up 1967 but with a differance motor in it so not to sure on that one unless the motor was changed.
OhioGuy89 4 #4 Posted May 19, 2012 I'll have to look. Thanks for finding out. Where did you find this information?

OhioGuy89 4 #7 Posted May 19, 2012 Thanks for the list! I've managed to find them both. It seems the 657 has had its origninal engine replaced, since it lists it as a Techumseh, but mine has a Kohler.
mid60's 93 #8 Posted May 19, 2012 Are you sure it's not an 857? That would have an 8hp Kohler but would still be a 1967 model.
Martin 2,133 #9 Posted May 19, 2012 i think the 657 (or 857) model number would be a T-657 or T-857 not a 1-657 or 1-857....... since you mentioned the serial number do you have the tag off this one that you could post pics of, or tags on both of them? OhioGuy89 4 #10 Posted May 19, 2012 I just checked again after you mentioned that actually. You were right, it is a T-657, not a 1-
stevasaurus 23,300 #11 Posted May 19, 2012 Somebody did you a favor and replaced the Techy. :) :)
OhioGuy89 4 #12 Posted May 19, 2012 haha. I take it wasn't that good of an engine? What does the "T" in the model name stand for?
COMMANDO6 20 #13 Posted May 20, 2012 Somebody did you a favor and replaced the Techy. :) Hey, I like the techy in mine! I was just looking at the list and I've got a stupid question. It lists two 1968 commando 8s, exactly the same, but one model number is 1-4831 and the other is 1-4832.
stevasaurus 23,300 #14 Posted May 20, 2012 Somebody did you a favor and replaced the Techy. :) Hey, I like the techy in mine! I was just looking at the list and I've got a stupid question. It lists two 1968 commando 8s, exactly the same, but one model number is 1-4831 and the other is 1-4832. I believe one of those numbers is a typo...the list has a few of them on it. I like the Techy's also, just kidding about the favor. They are a very good engine, the carbs are very touchy, and since they have been bought out, parts are getting really expensive. I am not sure what the "T" stands for.
Martin 2,133 #15 Posted May 20, 2012 haha. I take it wasn't that good of an engine? What does the "T" in the model name stand for? i assume the T stands for tractor.
