anyone know this model?

I found this just over the border.

it is from a farmers wife who's selling everything after the dead of her husband. (so i was told)

The neighbour took a picture on my demand. ;-)

I have to drive 3 hours for it, but like to know at least what i'm looking at. ;-)

Maybe you experts can tell me what model it is? Or narrow the possible models and years.

Kind regards;

It is a vertical shaft tractor with a aluminum trans axle. Light duty lawn tractor only. Not very desirable in most cases and should be a 200 series tractor.

looks like it is a 244H or a 266H, depends on the engine. Some have an Eaton transmission other have a tuff tourqu? If it is an Eaton those are better from what I have heard. Looks to have the 37 inch bagger deck. Ask the owner to give you the model number from the sticker under the seat. Then we can tell you more

It would have to be a great deal for me to drive 3 hours for a verticle shaft Wheel Horse. Nothing off it will interchange with your C-175 if that was your thinking.

Hopefully its inexpensive.

I think you made the right desistion to leave it as i think 500 Euro is very high and i think you could wait and get more for your money,

I dont think the vertical shaft wheelhorse tractors are as desirable as the horizontal ones

but none the less are still a good tractor but i would prefer a c series over a B series any day

Here is another 500 euro deal it is in my area.advertised as a commando 8

Non running condition, problem unknown.

(sorry but a farmer not knowing whats wrong with a basic tractor? i have a hard time with that. Not claiming unpossible, but verry rare ;-) )

The Commando look's in reasonably good overall condition...... As a Non Runner, I would not pay more than 250 Euros ( after I had checked it over) and found what was wrong with it.

It depends if you want a Runner that is ready for work, or a Tractor to repair and refurbish.

The tractor at the strat of the thread looks like it could be a 210-4 to me. If so it has a Kawasaki engine and the rear transaxle is fitted with pto facility hence the slot in the back panel.

Go for the Commando, your find it a much more "usable" machine than the other one.

Yes, and the 200 series is way, way over price to my mind. So there are just so many reasons not to go for it.

I would go for the Commando, but try and knock the price down a bit 500 euros should buy you something up and running

That commando has a nice seat and a very good overall condition. I don't know about the muffler on this as it was most likely made across the pond, But looks like a nice quiet one!

If the price wasn't that high I would have bought it in no time. I would love to own that machine! But not knowing what is wrong with it...500 EUR is a NO-GO!
