416h 42 inch deck drive belt replacment

I am trying to replace the drive belt using the part number found in the mower deck manual, 102741. I am using the inside pulley on the pto assembly, threading through the idler pulleys. I am finding that when I try to attach to the deck, the belt seems to short. I have the idler pulley assembly as loose as it will go. Is there another adjustment I need to make on the deck or maybe the draft bar?

You are using the wrong belt P/N use P/N 102742

Thanks for the information. As it turns out the mower deck manual I received is for a rear discharge mower which uses the 102741 belt. I have a side discharge mower which uses the 102742 belt.
