bean 85 #1 Posted May 13, 2012 need some advice. I am shipping an rj transmission and would like to remove the shifter rod. I think it would be safer that way. I planned on putting it in neutral, pulling the rod, and stuffing a shop rag into the opening to prevent anything from shifting around inside of the transmission. am I making a mistake by doing so?
