Wheel-N-It

I want to take the time to Thank everyone who helped me get through the few issues I had with my 417, to get it in good running/working order. This was my first "Hydro Equipped" Wheel Horse, and I had to make sure I was using the correct Hydro oil. Also the charging system was defective at both ends of the system. There was no AC or DC voltage getting to the regulator. This meant the magnets had to be bonded back onto the flywheel, and a new ignition switch installed, There was carb tweaking to be done over and over and over and over. New plug wires to be bought and installed along with Champion spark plugs. But now the tractor is running and mowing like a Champ!

Listen to me guys, Try Lubrication Engineers Motor Oil. If you want a witness to this then ask JAYINNC or KINGSWOOD990 about my 312-8. LE oil is all its ever had, and ask them how the 312's Magnum 12hp Kohler runs. LE is now in my 417, and it is the iceing on the cake of all the work that was put into getting this motor running right! You can see a picture of the 312 in action tilling up Jay and Jen's garden in the "NC meet and Greet" thread in the "Shows and Events" section of the forum.

And for you guys who read my postings but did not respond, Thank you anyway for reading what I had written. I know you would have jumped in there with some good advice if you could have.

This past week I have been cutting grass at my house, my Mom's house, my Grandpop's house, the rental house, and the infield of my go-kart racetrack all here on the family compound where I live. The KT-17 series 2 engine on the 417 has been running strong and the sound of that thing is music to my ears.

Sooner or later I have to cut some grass with my John Deere 325,............ but not today:)
