Trouty56 567 #2 Posted May 9, 2012 The weld towards the working end.  Once the weld is cut it slides apart.Cutting the weld is easy with a lathe.  New seals are easy to put in. Welding it closed is hard.  sent via mobile.... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Trouty56 567 #4 Posted May 9, 2012 The guy who did for me had a motor driven lathe that he practiced with a pipe till he got it right. Then he welded it and dunked it in water right away.
