Help ID 857 & 867 Tractors

I have two Wheel Horse Tractors, mower decks and snow blades. Are there Commando 8's? Please help identify these tractors

If you are asking if these are Commandos, then no.

857 and 867 are model numbers. 1967 models. The 857 was the predecessor to the 1968 Commando 8 and the 867 was unique. The only 8 HP short frame/six-speed combo made in the 60s by Wheel Horse.

I just bought a 867 this weekend with a broken rod. Came with a complete deck with no holes. Is it supposed to have long axles on it?

No the 867 has the standard axles.

If you mean the hubs don't fit right next to the housing,yes they do come with long axles.

The hubs will be about 1" or so from the trans case, in the 6 speed, the commandos had the long axles and the hubs are about 3" from the trans case but they are 3 speeds, those are what is commonly called the long axles.

Ok I checked again. It is original. The hubs are about an inch or so from the case. Thanks Kelly.
