Anthony Wendover 124 #1 Posted July 12, 2008 First I was gonna change the oil in the 312 and found it silly I cant find the oil filter the book only talks about a oil filter on the 400s.. so I guess mine doesn't have one.. Now colors. I miss my work horse. I really think the silver with red stripe white rims and black frame looks nicer then the all red. Just because you don't see dust. You can notice any fade. If you do repaint the body no need to look at a very nasty faded frame. And then the white rims go with that so nice. I wish I could find a hydro work horse before the winter for the snow blower.. So i was wanting to see what you all thought of the red vs silver? and what one you perfer
Sparky-(Admin) 23,166 #2 Posted July 12, 2008 I owned a Workhorse 1142 for a few years and at first I didnt like the color scheme but before it left(sold) I had changed my mind and I would'nt hesitate to buy another. One thing I noticed is that it never looked as dirty as my red tractors although it was just as dirty. I still am not a big fan of the 11Hp Briggs it had but I do like the colors. Mike.......... Curmudgeon 28 #6 Posted July 13, 2008 Red, red, red and more red for me. Even the black hoods look better once painted over to all red. :horseplay: :horseplay:
