AETD 2 #1 Posted May 4, 2012 Hello guy's I'm intrested in buying a C-175 and had a question about it. I saw the mower for sale, but theowner is on holliday, so i meet him next week. I allready found the manuals for it on this great forum. I'm new into "sit on" mowers. i know the plastic mowers you find new in stores. with gears or hydro. but that is it. I prefer to buy me this C-175 as it is more powerfull and more a tractor feeling. pedals & shifters, I want to drive it this season and maybe restore it over winter. (work on a little rust here and there and repaint it. etc...) The C-175 i saw is with 8 speed gearbox 1,2,3 & R, low & high (no automatic) I had some questions. that i could not/or forgot to ask the owner over the phone.maybe you guys can help me out. I see in the manual that there is a pto lever on the right side of the steering wheel. Is every C-175 equiped with a PTO? can it bu used for extention tools like a wood splitter? Or isn't it that kind of hydrailic pto like on a truck? What are the options on this tractor? like a plow, can ther be fitted a rear lift like on minitractors to pick up palltes? a front pucher or a rear mini shovel? Sorry for the noob questions. bowtiebutler956 650 #2 Posted May 4, 2012 :WRS: You can get a wide variety of attachments for it. I don't know about a back hoe though. I believe your pto is for driving a belt, just like most other . Matt :flags-texas:
Sparky-(Admin) 23,277 #3 Posted May 5, 2012 The PTO is a clutch disc driving a pulley. It'll run mower decks, tillers, snowblowers, generators and sickle-bar mowers. Any hydraulic attachments would need to be driven by a remote hydraulic pump spun by a belt off the PTO. There are non-PTO driven attachments available such as a front snow/dirt plow in two sizes and a mid-mount grader blade also available in two sizes. With a few extra parts you can have a rear lift for a turning plow and a few other Brinley type attachments. If you look hard enough you might find a full cab for it which is almost a must for snowblowing. Front end loaders are available with the hydraulics driven by a seperate pump spun by the tractors PTO. Mike....................
