leeave96 490 #1 Posted May 1, 2012 I know there were different block variants of the K341 - maybe three? I have a chance to buy a couple of 16 hp K341 engines and may want to use one of them in a Wheelhorse. I know that the K341's used on a Cub Cadet are different at the base/mounting to frame than other tractor makes. So - what kind of base/K341 engine can be used on a Wheelhorse. Is there a spec number I need to look for? Thanks, Bill
otrelwood 32 #2 Posted May 1, 2012 dont know about the base mount interchangability but lots of the kohlers have 1" crank and the wheel horse uses 1and an eighth crank diameter
can whlvr 994 #3 Posted May 2, 2012 i wonder why kohler even made a 1 inch crank, cost effective i guess,
smoreau 658 #4 Posted May 2, 2012 Actually 1" cranks are more popular then 1 1/8" cranks. The 1/8" does makes a difference in strength though. A lot of the cub bases are more like the shaker mount engines that are rubber mounted.
