how do I replace auto/trans in old 314-A

I received a beautiful 314-A when my wifes grand father passed. The tractor has 570 hrs on a Kohler 14 hp model # K321S. But the auotomatic trans has a big hole in the side of the case. How difficult is that to find or change? If someone would kindly give me some insight to this problem it would be very much apprieciated. thanks

Difficulty of finding one would depend if you want it shipped or looking for one local to you? Shipped not hard to find, local-Who knows as to your location is cute, but not very helpful to yourself or others when there are questions like this. Changing is not that difficult, but there are all levels of abilities out there, which would determine the difficulty of changing.

Have you considered swapping in an 8 speed? Easier to find and much more dependable.

Well Kalamazoo MI is just up the road from me, I don't have any eaton 700's but i have a few eaton 1100's that will fit send me a PM if you want more info.
