RJR49 138 #1 Posted April 27, 2012 There was an interesting email conversation this afternoon on Yahoo about the virtues of the C-1X0 Vs the C-1X1. Virtues being enclosed hydralics, gas tank in back, isolated motor, strengthened transmission mount, and exposed diodes, enclosed lift arm. I have a C-160 and a C-121 that is rapidly becoming a parts tractor. Not much I can do about most of it, but I am wondering about the feasibility of using that motor mount on my C-160. Does anyone know if it can be done without a lot of drilling and aggravation?
Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted April 27, 2012 Well most people don't like the iso mount engines, I know I don't they shake like crazy, more so if the mounts are bad, and at $25 each x4 it's not cheap to fix, but i think with at the most drilling 4 holes it will bolt in, and I'm not sure but it might bolt in with no drilling, BUT you will need to change or fab the belt guard up where it mounts to the engine on the older tractor, and you will need to wire belt guides off the shaker engine, also if you have the factory muffler you need to make a tab to bolt to the shaker plate or it will break off,ask me I know, also not sure how much room there will be for the batt. in the stock location, the shaker mount tractor they put the batt. up in the dash. Callen 64 #3 Posted April 27, 2012 If you are wanting to use the 341 from the 160, it won't fit on the mount.
