Challenger 27 #1 Posted April 16, 2012 Yesterday I was looking at a 522xi and was told by the owner that a "Winter Carb Kit" had been installed. Two decals on the top of the engine instructed to remove the kit at above 45 degrees. I've never heard of nor seen this kit before. Common? Hard to remove? Sparky-(Admin) 19,677 #2 Posted April 16, 2012 I think the Winter kit just ducts warm air from the motor to the carb. I think my Kohler 18 Magnum had something similar.
