What is this guard for???

Thinking about picking this tractor up, has some good parts on it. The extra guard on the right side caught my attention. Is it a factory guard? If so, what is it for?

I think it is for a belt driven vac system. It looks like one Kelly sold a wile back and it went through the foot rest like that. It was a optional implement option. the foot rest was modified or replaced.

Other than the fact that that 175 needs a motor it sure looks clean!

Part's tractor? Looks to me like all it needs in an engine. The body looks great! Buy it.

Yup it's for a vac system, it might have the idler pulleys still on it also, and I agree that is a clean but faded tractor

The body is really straight.....even the rear fender is in good condition with only 1 inch crack on the right side of the fender (you can kind of see it in the picture) Left rear tire is totally blow apart :eusa-think: Has a rear axle bracket. Steering is tight. We'll see if they accept my offer.

Rear axle bracket was needed for the vac, see if they have the vac, and the old engine.

Oh the vac used the bath tub style cart with a canvas top on it over a metal frame.
