Picked up 520 & Met Another Member !

Recommended Posts

Here is the 520 that I bought off of Charles on Saturday. I gave it a quick pressure washing and then dug into the carb. It ran but very rough. After a carb cleaning it would not start. Found the spark was random. Cleaned up the terminals to the coil and it fixed the issues. She runs great with no smoke. Only 328 hours on the working gauge. As you can see in the picture it needs the pto shaft and loop. Let me know if you have one. Thanks Charles- nice meeting you. Enjoy the pictures !!

So teach me something Steve. What is on the end of the crankshaft? Doesnt look like anything I've ever seen on my 300 and 400 series machines. Is it a 520 exclusive?

Ummm...maybe I've figured it out. Is the PTO stub that the bail hooks to snapped off??

Mike-

The tab is broken off where the pto loop pins goes. The guard is for a 2 stage blower.

I think I may try the powder coat "restore".... Not sure. It will still need a few odds and ends.

Duane,

From what I can tell I need both side plates and the pto nub and ring. Maybe a tack as well. Let me know what you got left over.
