BPjunk 184 #1 Posted July 8, 2008 Nicks latest tractor promted me into this post ..... Here's a gem I got from the Northern Neck part of Virginia. Can you guess what the white part is???? <_< Wild Bill in Richmond, Va. Attached Image
CasualObserver 3,407 #2 Posted July 8, 2008 Since it looks like it leads to the sparkplug end of a vert and it's long enough to touch the frame, my guess is it's the kill switch for grounding out the plug. B)
combatmp29r 27 #3 Posted July 8, 2008 Yep I concur Jason, and it looks like its made from one of thos emetal rails you can rack sockets on. B)
Rollerman 290 #4 Posted July 8, 2008 This is obviously a sacrificial anode designed to prevent the tractor from rusting...... B)
nylyon-(Admin) 7,227 #5 Posted July 8, 2008 I think it's to pull the plug wire off not ground it.

HorseFixer 2,012 #7 Posted July 8, 2008 The White Part Is A Pice Of Plywood That Has Been Cut Into A Stick & Has Black Electrical Tape Holding It Onto The Plug Wire. Most Likely Used To Remove The Plugwire From The Plug Hence Killing The Engine, Just Like Karl Said! Duke

BPjunk 184 #15 Posted July 9, 2008 Like the post title is "Ifn's ya' ain't got the right part make one!" The old owner of the tractor did not have a ignition switch on the tractor so this is the ON/OFF switch. Ya' simply pull on the white stick to pull the plug wire off so's ya' don't get shocked! <_< Wild Bill in Richmond, Va.
