UK meet....

Recommended Posts

meadowfield

There's a bit of momentum about a few of us meeting up at one of the shows this year for a uk meet.

It's been discussed on one of the other forums - some of you may already have seen this thread...

The suggested place where there seems to be at least 10 horses planned to attend is the Ardingly show in July.

Happy to post details (admin permitting) or you can look up the vhgmc forum.

Might be a very good opportunity for the first official WH UK meet and be one of the exhibitors.

Mark

Thanks for posting this Mark ,as one of the helpers on the Horticultural section along with Chris Sutton we are all keen to see the gathering take off

I will be bringing our four horses (Raider 10, Commando 8, Lawn Ranger and B115) to the gathering, I know that plenty more tractors are planned

Lets hope it will be the first gathering of many !!

Yes that right. As a few of you know I have been to the Wheelhorse show in P.A several times and shipped Wheelhorse's back to England. Iam trying to get together the English guys at a vintage transport show for "The First UK WheelHorse Round-up". Iam working with pmackellow to make this happen and hopefully there will be special decals for exhibiters. if anyone wants to come please contact me

So I can come down to this UK meet.It will be nice to meet some of you chaps.

Ps That is if we can get out of our yard for wheel horses.

We are getting less room by the week.

In our small yard area we have Six horses.garden rake,,roller, snowPlough,Harrow.

Plus motors etc etc.But it keeps us all happy horsing around. :coffee::coffee: :coffee: this is me with a pot of tea. :greetings-wavegreen: :greetings-wavegreen:

Hope to be there too but waiting on Chris to send me some forms.

Is there somewhere I can download them from perhaps?

RE your last comment Mark, I seem to recall that you were the one who said:

(btw who said I was driving?????? I'm already down here )

In reality it's the crippling fuel costs that make travelling long distance a pain but at least from Yorkshire you get motorway almost all the way - better than the A272 I can tell you.

tell you what Andy... I'll swap you the drive, 160 mile round trip of A272, sounds better than my 520 mile round trip :)

Hello Euro-members/friends!

I've been thinking and I want to come to the show also! It's around 450 kilometers from here in Belgium and takes about 5 hours with the car and train.

I also like to meet all of of you UK wheelhorse collectors, would be nice to see and speak everyone in person! And offcourse to see all of your wheelhorses!

There is a good chance that I'm coming over, I'll keep you all updated. :)

:violin: :violin: :violin:

Problem at the moment Mark is that if my wife uses the car to pull the caravan then I'll have to go by horse so that'll be 85 miles at say 4 mph and with breaks I make that about 24 hours to get there. Not sure if I'd make it across the A3 between light changes at that speed.

Anyone know how many miles a C-120 or a D will do on a tank of gas? Perhaps this guy knows the answer.

I'll find a way of getting there somehow.

Hope you can make it P-J, it will be great to meet up.
