Parking Brake Light

Recommended Posts

gwgdog66

I have a 1990 312-8, mdl # 31-12K801, and the parking brake light is staying on when it is running. The parking brake isn't set. The tractor runs and mows just fine.

I'm trying to figure out where the parking brake switch is located, so I can check it to see if it might be stuck or unplugged. I've looked at the parts diagram, and I'm not finding a brake switch.

Any help will be appreciated

HELLO, IF YOU MEAN THE DASH IDIOT LIGHTS. THAT SWITCH IS BY THE SHIFTER CONSOLE. IT IS THE LEVER YOU PUSH WHEN SETTING THE PARKING BRAKE. REMOVE THE CONSOLE PLATE THERE WILL BE A MICRO SWITCH WITH A 3 WIRE PLUG. CHECK THE CONNECTIONS AND SWITCH.
