Does look like it is at a business...wonder why the PO sold her...or traded her in. Nice looking horse. :)

Isn't Chandler's the dealer at the original WH factory location? 5K seems a little high, unless you're generalizing. I think list price for the tractor/deck with 0 hours was less than that (but I could be mistaken. I don't feel the need to look it up). Either way... probably one of very few 60th anniversary models still for sale.

My buddy's dad has a brand new one still in the crate. He told me about it, I think hinting that he'd like to sell it to me.

The last one that was sitting on the showroom floor of the TORO dealer I use for parts and stuff was $4300 with a deck.

I'd be willing to bet it was simply a demo or someone left the key on at the dealship.

Its not to hard to see why Toro stopped making these tractors. They were becoming a real tough sell and many dealers still have NOS tractors or very low hr machines they still can't get rid of after all these yrs.

the problem is after 100 hours, have fun getting anything over $1500 for her, great machine as long as you plan to keep her. personally rather buy a nice used 310/312/314 for 600-800 with around 300-800 hours and be just as happy, with more money in my pocket. That is why they can't sell this.

Nice machine. My brother has a 2005 Classic, it is a sweet machine. Like all Wheel Horse's are.

There is a guy that bought a deck from me last year who had TWO of them with .2 hours on each. Wanted $4800 each for them. I saw them on Ebay later. He was from around Toledo if I remember correctly. I just have to think of how many Wheel Horses I could buy for $4800 and the thought of buying ONE of those. It would be nice to see an original new one though.

Now that I think about it, I bet the 2.4 hrs. is the result of them bringing the tractor in and out of the dealership after all these yrs, and the occasional full throttle burn around the parking lot to clear it out.

On another note, I just did a quick bit of research and found that Sear's sells a tractor (they call it a garden tractor!) for 5500.00 bucks! The model is CTX 9500. Sure it has a few more bells and whistles but at the end of the day it will always be a cheaply made Crapsman LAWN tractor that you will get ten yrs. out of, at best. I bet its tranaxle will need to be replaced at least once under warranty. That sure makes this 520 look to be the deal of a life time.

Truckin88 is right on the money, if someone buys this tractor, just buy it to keep it, they won't be making any more tractors like them in our life time.

According to the guy behind the counter it belongs to a guy who works there, the dealer sticker is where it was originally purchased from, The dealer is a Toro dealer in Flushing Mi. I could not find a scratch on it they even had a rag under the rear seat mounts so it wouldn't scratch the paint.

Just for some info the New Craftsman CTX 9500 is a Simplicity tractor and has diff lock, but I agree it's still not a WH 520H or the old Simplicity Sunstar...

One of our WH lunch buddies just uncrated his 60th last september, and yup he going to start using it. Don't know why since he has 15 others to pick from.

And ya the guy with the 2 is from the toledo area.

Pretty sure this is a 315 not a 520. Even harder to sell 15 HP at that price.

That 15 hp Kohler is a bad a$$, and with the pressurized lubing system /with oil filter, i have no worries at all on up, down, and sidways inclines / declines. That is what has killed a couple of my other single splash lubed ones. That is the ballpark on pricing for a new one, and mine is not even the anniversery addition from 2007, it is a 2005. Tell you what I find odd, my 2005 and that 2007 have the same modle number, but I think the 2004 does too, on the 315-8 Classic GT. The only thing I have had to replace on mine, in 7 years, is the battery, twice, and the first time is because I left the key on for a while, week or two. There was a member that had one of those, it is in the picture gallery, 2007.

I HAVE TO DISAGREE W/CRAPSMAN COMMENTS.....SURE THEY ARE NOT REAL TUFF BUT I CURRENTLY HAVE 1 LT1000 16 HORSE KOHLER W/ FILTER,BOUGHT IT IN 1995. I DO NOT TAKE REAL GOOD CARE OF HER, I MOW 3/4 ACHER WEEKLY. TOW,PULL AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. I HAVE REPLACED THE STARTER FRONT WHEEL BEARING BATTERY AND BLADES, OTHER THAN THAT THATS IT. I WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE. $900.00 DIVIDED BUY 17 YEARS. $53 PER YEAR. NOT BAD AND SHE STILL RUNS GREAT, USES VERY VERY LITTLE OIL. I DO NOT ADD OIL IN BETWEEN CHANGES. WOULD I RATHER HAVE A WH FOR MY WEEKLY MOWER (YES) NOT UNTIL CRAPSMAN DIES.

Don't know why I was thinking 520? Maybe cause I want one?
