dave in A.P. 4 #1 Posted March 18, 2012 last wed nite I drove 20 mi. from my house and bought a pretty clean 84GT 1100 for $410. saw it on C.L. the guy had inherited from his father-in-law. It had been sitting in his shed for 4yrs. under all the dust was a decent looking tractor with 42 in rear discharge deck , and rear wheel wts with the little red wheelhorse sticker still on them. he had a couple of big 3cly diesel green tractors and the silver horse looked like a toy next to them. a little gas down the carb, and a jump from the J.D. and the briggs fired right up and ran long enough to tell it wasn't knocking. He told me that after I called, and before I drove there, he had 5 other calls about it. he wanted $600 but took the $410. That was all the cash I had with me and I told him so. Nice enough guy to help me push it up into my truck. To computer dumb to figure out how to load pics, but youngest daughter coming for Sunday dinner, maybe I'll get her to help me. I played with it today and gravity fed the carb, runs pretty smooth, but won't pull fuel from gas tank, I guess the fuel pump diaphragm is bad. What do you guys think? Wheel-N-It 2,976 #3 Posted March 18, 2012 Could be that, or plugged fuel filter, or it could be the fuel tank valve is closed and you need to open it.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,284 #4 Posted March 18, 2012 If it had wheel weights I bet theres a plow or blower for it somewhere. Does it have the rear axle bracket for plow mounting on it? Might be worth a call to see if theres another attachment laying around at the guys house. Mike...........
