Pollack Pete 2,273 #1 Posted March 16, 2012 Got a dry cracked and leaking rear tire on my 312-8.Tire size is 22-7.50 12 Looked on google for a tube for this size.Closest is 23-8.50 12.Don't they make a tube for 22-7.50? I don't even see new tires in this size anywhere. What gives? Anyone else have this problem? My tire isn't real bad.Just has a real slow leak and I'd prefer to tube it.Thanks for any and all help. Hodge71 665 #2 Posted March 16, 2012 Not sure what to tell you on this one Pete. I'd try Tractor Supply if you have one in the area. What I have done with all my Horse tires is to Slime them. The tires on my 416 are horribly dry rotted. They wouldnt even hold air long enough for me to mow my yard. I slimed them last year in the spring and havent had to add air since then. The gallon of Slime was about the cost of tube for 1 tire and I filled all of them and had some left over. Whatever your choice, good luck.
whfan74 2,071 #3 Posted March 16, 2012 We all have our opinions regarding slime......works good but be prepared if you ever take that tire in some place to get removed for some unfriendly looks. Sorry not sure on the tubes for you......wish I had an answer.
Jim_M 179 #4 Posted March 16, 2012 You can use the 8.50 tube. I did that on my 308-8 and it worked out just fine.
stevasaurus 23,274 #5 Posted March 16, 2012 I agree with Jim and Scott...the tube should work, not talking that much pressure in the tires. :)
bowtiebutler956 650 #6 Posted March 16, 2012 Yeah, what they said. A 23x8.5-12 tube should work just fine. I also use slime pretty regularly, and it works quite well. Your choice. Matt :flags-texas:
