mkevinr63 4 #1 Posted March 10, 2012 Does the long frame dozer blade attach to a 244-5? I have it hooked to the rear axle but I think I may be missing some linkage or parts underneath. I got the blade for 150.00 and the tractor for 25.00!!! Not a bad deal but I don't have a manual on attaching it. Any Help?
Sparky-(Admin) 23,284 #2 Posted March 10, 2012 The 244 does not use the same blade as the garden tractors such as the C, 300, 400, 500 series. I thought the plow on yours attached to the frame and not the aluminum rear axle. Mike.........
squonk 43,939 #3 Posted March 11, 2012 My old 210 had the plow hook on the very front. There were 2 slots in front of the front axle that 2 carriage bolts would slide into. Then the bolts attached the plow bracket.
SNYFIX 13 #4 Posted March 11, 2012 Yes, you have to have a snowplow thats made specifically for the 244 series. The blade you have would fit however with some custom re-manufacturing. A good weekend project with some WH freinds and a case of ------ !!!
mkevinr63 4 #5 Posted March 11, 2012 Sparky is right, It actually hooks to the frame, not the rearend. I also have it attached to the front (where a mule may be) but I cannot figure out how to attach the lift mechanism.
