Sparky-(Admin) 23,284 #1 Posted March 6, 2012 Any of you guys run Carlisle All Trail's? I'm tempted to plop down a couple hundred bucks and get a pair of 23x10.5x12's to mount on a pair of wide rims off a GT-1848 that currently have 28 year old dry cracked tires on em. I'm interested in any experience you might of had with them especially how they perform in the snow. Mike.............
Kingwood990 16 #2 Posted March 6, 2012 I run them on my John Deere and I love them. They do great in snow. I run them at 4psi in the winter and I have never need chains or wheel weights. My tires are fill with air not fluid. I have about 6 years of use on this set and they still look great. They even hold up real well on pavement also. kpinnc 14,712 #3 Posted March 6, 2012 Wish I could tell you Mike, but I don't know yet... Mine are 23x8.00-12, which is an odd size. They are some of the thickest tires I've ever seen in a 12-inch wheel size. I like them!

Rollerman 290 #7 Posted March 6, 2012 Mike I got lucky & found four 23X10.50X12's on clearance at TSC a few years back. I can't remember what exactly I gave...but they were cheap then. Performance....they work great on everything except clingy wet clay dirt or mud. They don't seem to self clean as well as a true ag/bar lug tread in those conditions. Dry ground, wet grass, dry grass, loose or hard gravel they work great. The tread design allows for a good deal of side traction too...so the tires will bite better than turfs or ags if your mowing a ditch or have a weird sidehill. Here's the set I have mounted up on my short frame mutt.
kpinnc 14,712 #8 Posted March 6, 2012 Like Stephen, I also got mine at TSC on clearance. Unfortunately, all of the 10.50s were gone when I got there. All that was left were the 8-inch wide ones, but they were only $13 each! Stephen, that tractor looks like it should climb trees! I'm betting that extra width makes it very stable on inclines as well. If I didn't like my 867 so much... :ychain:
Brrly1 1,146 #9 Posted March 6, 2012 Hey Stephen, you didn't happen to get those at the TSC in Warsaw did you? Figured maybe they had a wall clearance (sale)thing after that one guy drove thru theres. Thats been a few years now.

Kevin the sad thing is...I went home to beg my wife for more allowance & return to TSC for a set of the 8" width Carlisle's that were still there. By the time I returned they were gone... John that was the Warsaw store Steve did the drive through? Both my sets came out of the Goshen store & I called around & tried to locate more locally. In fact I think I even made a "heads up" post for other members to check there local TSC stores. To get back to Mikes question....unless your going to be playing in clay, you won't be dissapointed with the Carlisle All Trails...& if you are ship them over here, I'll buy them. Sparky-(Admin) 23,284 #11 Posted March 10, 2012 Allright guys. Armed with all your positive reviews I cruised the net for the best deal on 23x10.5's and placed the order. Now to get the old tires off the rims and get the rims cleaned up. What color were the rims on the GT Workhorse series( grey tractors)? Mike.........
Callen 64 #12 Posted March 10, 2012 Mine look to be white or linen.
