Dresden Guy 24 #1 Posted March 1, 2012 Are Nelson mufflers available from any supplier? I would be interested to know if there is a Kohler/Briggs/Onan OEM muffler cross reference to Nelson mufflers. I have a new Nelson #266 and have no idea which Kohler it fits. (see picture) I know several RS guys have used straight verrtical stacks, but I want as close to original as possible. Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted March 1, 2012 That looks like a muffler for a 8hp tractor with a shaker mount, see the tab that bolts to the shaker plate, I'm guessing but pretty sure it is for like a C-81/C-85 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

JC 1965 1,532 #4 Posted March 3, 2012 That is the same muffler that i have on my 1979 C-81. It's the original muffler that was on it when i purchased it new. I have painted it a couple times and it's in very good condition. I'm glad i won't be buying one like it in the future cause i just looked it up on Parts Tree and it cost $329.25. Dresden Guy 24 #5 Posted March 9, 2012 I am going to sell this muffler in the Classifieds ...... I gave $120 - $130 + S/H on FeeBay last year (can't remember exact price).
