Big Brother is almost ready D-180

I have had this D-180 in the garage a long time. Seemed like I fixed one thing and something else decided to go south...Today we rode out of the garage and hooked up the 50" tiller. I think the governor needs some attention, the motor surges under load. It was still a fun ride though.

Looks good. I remember the days of the D200. I had an NOS tiller on the back that I just had to get it dirty.

The rear tires are Duro 26x12-12 the front are the 8 inch Tri-Ribs from Miller Tire.

A couple more of the D, the tiller locked up while tilling some dirt.

It will turn on a dime, they look a bit funny at first but once on the tractor they blend in.

I like it. What have been the main issues ?

Hydro pressure problems, broken rear hydro housing, motor electrical, and now governor surge. I have taken my time, walked away for months and then started with the next issue. Its close to a good running machine. That is a WH Tiller, it will be split apart and repaired...someday

I love my "Ds". Still haven't quite figured out how to till at a constant speed. Its either all or nothing.

I have to agree with you on both statements. have been trying to figure out how to reverse the tines direction so it doesnt want to push you :eusa-think::confusion-scratchheadblue: :confusion-confused:

If I could figure out how to install an 8 speed I would have done it from the beginning...

Loaded and ready to go to my buddies dealership. Having them tune the motor and adjust that governor. Hopefully all will be well when he is back playing in the yard. That C-111 is the handiest little tractor around.

Steve, how did it work out with taking it to your buddies dealership? I'm interested to know how it's working out.

Motor runs fine, needed the carb rebuilt and a new fuel pump. unfortunately the hydro blew and all the hot oil went everywhere. I have not started to work on it yet, I am really considering selling both tractors and implements and getting a compact tractor with a tiller. Maybe i will get a chance to look into it more in a few weeks.
