Lower steering support bushing

Recommended Posts

Kelly

Anyone know the correct size for the bushing in the lower steering support? I know the ID is 3/4" and it's around 3/4" long, but I need the OD of one, I don't feel like going to the barn tonight to check sizes, it's been a long day, I'm trying to find a source for them other than Toro.

Oh this is the same bushing for about every WH that uses a bushing in the lower steering support.

The rear suport bushing, it's the cast part the steering shaft from the wheel goes into, and the back of the lower steering shaft fits in, that is where the thin bronze bushing is pressed in.

I've got a new one in front of me right now Kelly.

The OD is 13/16" .

I've never seen a generic bushing anywhere with that thinner walls

Thanks Mike I was thinking it was 13/16" I've found lots of 7/8" OD on line, I'll probably have to buy more from Toro, I thought I had one new one left in stock but can't find it, and I need one for a 314 I'm fixing up to sell.

Try Kaman Industries. I picked up some spacers and bushing to fix the hole in the frame for the axle. Has a sholder on it to weld. Also got some bushing to take up the slop in the spindle bores.
