Chute Rotation Rod on 42" single stage 79365

I'm missing the chute rotation rod for my setup that I just acquired. I've got a 522xi with the 79365 42" single stage snow thrower. I am missing the long rod extension that roates the chute. I think I am just going to make one myself. Toro wants over a hundred bux for a length of rod with a z bend in it. Does anyone have one of these that they could measure for me. I'd like to know how long of piece of steel rod I should buy to do this.

I went to the wrecking yard and bought on of the long car jack handles that lock together and then cut it to length. They charged me $ 5.00 and the neat part is you can unhook it in sections for storage. Best of wishes.

I took the jack handle from my Bronco II drilled a hole in the end for the hair clip on blower end, works good.
