Wheelhorse84 87 #1 Posted February 7, 2012 Besides the hydraulic tranny option what are the differences between a b and c series?
rmaynard 16,369 #2 Posted February 7, 2012 Depends on the year.
Wheelhorse84 87 #3 Posted February 7, 2012 Are the frames are the same size? On the mid 70's
CasualObserver 3,411 #4 Posted February 7, 2012 What information are you looking for? That's a rather vague question, and your statement is wrong.... B-100s are hydros and there are C-series gear drives. So there are both hydros and gear drives in both series. The frame length depends on the model and year. stevasaurus 23,301 #5 Posted February 7, 2012 Yes, the frames are the same. Engine size (horsepower) is one of the differences...the B's are usually 8 or 10 hsp...the C's are usually 12 and higher.
stevasaurus 23,301 #6 Posted February 7, 2012 Yes, but Jason...would not the frames of a B or C in a given year be the same???
CasualObserver 3,411 #7 Posted February 7, 2012 Most probably are... as TT pointed out the other day in a snow blade frame discussion... Early B-80s were a shorter mid-frame tractor.
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #8 Posted February 7, 2012 '74/'75 B-80 4 speeds and B-100 automatics are all 43.5" wheelbase. The C-100 to C-160 models of the same years are 45.5" wheelbase. The '76/'77 B-60/80/100 were all 8 speeds and were 45.5" wheelbase. Any other "B" not mentioned above is a lawn tractor.
