Wheel Horse Upper Lift Part #5868 -Dimensions

Recommended Posts

Lane Ranger

I have had several folks ask me over the last few years for information on the Upper Lift Part #5868 used on Lawn Rangers to lift the BDR-385 Snowplow/Dozer Blade (or more recent Model # 6.3111).

I have this plow lift part on two Lawn Rangers.

Apparently this part was used on other model Wheel Horse tractors to attach a larger plow to the tractor.

I just had a request for information from Red Square member Raju Singh Saroha looking for information

on this part to make a new one for his Model 655 Wheel Horse tractor.

I am going to post some photos and a drawing I made to assist other with making this part as it is important to have for the Snowplow/Dozer blades to be lifted on these early tractor models ,

Absolutely incorrect.

The only way it would be needed on anything except a Lawn Ranger is if some one is installing the Lawn Ranger dozer blade on a "normal" garden tractor. Otherwise, the rear axle-mounted "A" frame would use the long lift link attached to the forward-facing arm on the lift lever shaft.

Hi Lane

Thanks a lot for the pictures and drawing.

Hi Terry

I am installing BDR-385 on my model 655 (tractor actually came with this installed but was missing the upper link so wasn't functioning smoothly).

Thanks,

Raju

looks like BDR-385 isn't suppose to go on 655 :-(

(as per model attachment document on wheelhorse yahoo group). That might explain why the piece was missing (previous owner might have just made it fix by removing top link)

Thanks for clarification Terry. I only had first hand experience with this part on Lawn Rangers!
