jachady 130 #1 Posted January 31, 2012 I just picked up this Lawn Ranger today and I need some help with it. First off I can't find a Model #, I don't even know where to look. The Serial # is stamped on a bright white sticker, that was easy to find. It'd be nice to know exactly what I have as my plans are to fix it up for my son. Secondly, how hard is it to get a recoil spring and recoil cup? The spring is broke and the cups teeth are worn out. I think this one will be easy to get running as the owner says it sat for twenty years but all ws good when he shut it down. The good news is he ran all the gas out of it so the tank and carb are really clean, the bad news is he ran all the gas out of it so the gaskets are all probably really dry. I need to get the recoil fixed so I can make sure it runs then I'll tear into to make it a good piece. Any help would be appreciated. John

jachady 130 #5 Posted January 31, 2012 Well, I found a recoil off a old snow blower but the mounting holes don't line up. If I muster up enough strength, I can hold it against the flywheel shround and pull. After a few pulls and a couple spritz's of starting fluid, it started right up. So, now I know I've got something good to work with. Just have to clean it up and make it look good as well.
