546cowboy 302 #1 Posted January 25, 2012 I recently picked up a GT1848 that needs a lot of cosmetic work. Has anyone found a place to get Pewter Gray paint in quarts? It's too cold to paint yet but I like to get a head of a project. I would like to get the original color back on it but if I can't find paint this may be a custom paint job. I reall don't want to go with automotive paint but I suppose NAPA can mix it if somebody has had some mixed let me know.
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted January 25, 2012 All 1982 models: Pewter Metallic - Automotive equivalent 1971 Lincoln-Mercury Pewter Metallic All 1983/84 models: Pewter Gray - Automotive equivalent 1982 Lincoln Light Pewter (I think the OEM code is #18) I've never painted any of mine yet, and I don't know if there's anything close in off-the-shelf paint. 546cowboy 302 #3 Posted January 25, 2012 Thanks Terry. I'll have to think about it for a while. This may be my first non-original Wheel Horse paint job.
ol550 830 #4 Posted January 26, 2012 If you don't like the gloss black you can have some flatner mixed in it. 20-30 % is a close match.
