pfrederi 17,192 #1 Posted January 21, 2012 Some snow plows have 3 angle positions, some have 5. Five is nicer, is there any reason I can't just drill two more holes (in between the existing ones)in the sector???
rmaynard 14,945 #2 Posted January 21, 2012 Seems like a reasonable thing to do.
Kelly 1,028 #3 Posted January 21, 2012 I have both and if you drill out the 3 hole to the 5 there will be very little metal left between the holes, the 5 hole index they start farther over, the blade angles a bit more than the 3 hole index, but I do like the 5 hole set up better, they only as far as I know came on the newer 48" blades. pfrederi 17,192 #4 Posted January 21, 2012 Thank you that was what I was afraid of ..lack of metal left. I made a mistake and loaned out the plow with the 5 index to a neighbor and left myself with the 3. No good deed goes unpunished
