fourwheels0 191 #5 Posted January 16, 2012 thanks guys as for snow here in virginia? sometimes yes but nothing yet this year. yup nothing closer to home. i'm from upstate ny (schenectady ny) so i always look up there and combine trips when i see family up there. ya i love my c-160's. they are getting harder to find complete at decent prices. on this one the hood is wrong and it needs a voltage reg. put in (the guy gave me one for it) but it's pretty solid. the motor runs great with no noises or smoke. the rear was froze solid (water in it) but once it thawed out and i drained it it looks like it's all good. got a new shifter boot throw in with the deal too lol. fourwheels0 191 #10 Posted January 17, 2012 well the 160 cleaned up pretty good. i was gonna start on the electrical but it started raining. a couple pics and the 856 which i'm gonna part out or just sell it as-is. the 160 needs the correct hood, the correct seat and springs, front tires don't match (i have new ones). other than that it looks pretty good and original. it even has a plow bracket and rear lift cable. yup the trip was definetly worth it. c-160's are real hard to find here in virginia unless youre willing to pay 500-600 in worse shape than this one lol 1 snowblower is in great shape but needs a new chain (which is normal). the other isn't too bad but will need some tinkering. overall i'm happier than a puppy with two peters hahaha. fourwheels0 191 #11 Posted January 18, 2012 well i was going to have a buddy of mine help me with the electrical but i just couldn't wait (sorry bud). it was an easy job. just remove and replace the bad reg. and it's up and running under it's own power . warming up the gear lube now (too cold and thick) and finish the rear fluid change then take her out for a spin. fourwheels0 191 #12 Posted January 18, 2012 well it run's great and shift's great but definetly needs a drive belt. get a belt and fine tune everything i'll think it will be great for the blower.
