Prater 76 #1 Posted January 16, 2012 A road trip was in order to get out of the house for a day or so...headed to tulsa and picked up some new toys. First was a backwood trek that seemed to go on forever around one of our beautiful lakes. I piced up a C-175 that was a bit rusty but not a bad project. I noticed that someone welded a sears mule drive on the mount and had welded the frame to hold the sears deck. I cand grind those off with no issues. No fender pan but i dont like the plastic ones anyways. On his porch was nearly 50 rebuilt motors from a shop he took over. Mostly briggs, but a few looked interesting. I picked up 6 Clintons, three are pretty much complete with the rebuild tags still on them. The tags say they are 5HP models. I then stayed overnight in Tulsa then headed to another Find. It was my original intent to go pickup a D180 that had a boxblade. The motor pump was just rebuilt and the three point was homemade. It runs good but the front pump starts sucking air at full forward speed. Reverse seems fine and it moves pretty good. Loaded it up and pulled her home. I will try to post some pics later. Headed to Florida for work this week...

Sparky-(Admin) 23,277 #8 Posted January 16, 2012 That has to be the rustiest Blackhood hood I have ever seen . Good overall score on the whole haul tho. Mike.........
WHEEL HORSE BILL 7 #9 Posted January 16, 2012 Very nice haul I had a d-180 with loader but it was way to hard for me to steer. I now have a c-175 same thing as yours with the black hood and plastic fenders. I don't really care for the plastic fenders also but someday I will change and those clinton engine are real nice I need one for my rj 35. good luck with the new toys.
