Snow blower lift assist spring.

I am missing the assist spring that attaches to the flag and then to the tractor. I plan on getting one. My question is this. I see where the spring attaches to the flag but where on the tractor does it attach?

i think it hooks to the foot rest bar,the 3/4 inch bar that holds the front of the foot board
