gipster 1 #1 Posted January 7, 2012 Hi All, Plowed with my 175 last week and had absolutely no problems pushing the 42" plow. Would a 48 fit on the same frame? Anyone have experience with a similar swap? thanks Jim
Jim_M 178 #2 Posted January 7, 2012 Yup, it will bolt right on, no difference at all in the frames.
JC 1965 1,528 #3 Posted January 7, 2012 Yea Jim's right, I just bolted a 48" blade on my old frame that had the 42" blade on it. It only took me a few minutes. :thumbs2:
bk-scouter 93 #4 Posted January 7, 2012 Just like Jim mentioned above, the 48" blade will swap onto the 42" frame perfectly. Make sure you bring over the quadrant brace that attaches the blade assembly to the plow frame with one bolt. The 48" blade quadrant has more holes for the 5- position angle adjustment feature than the 42's 3- position. -BK
Kelly 1,028 #5 Posted January 7, 2012 Not all 48" blades have the 5 position quadrant, so if that is the case you can just slide out the two long pins and swap just the blade head, but the 5 position quadrant is nice.
