Don1977 605 #1 Posted January 3, 2012 I was working on my C-120 8 speed today installed a new idler and tighten a loose wheel hub. The hand brakes have not worked on this tractor in quite a few years. So I pulled off the shifter plate to take a look at it. The brake pad is at least 1/8" thick and when I adjust it where it should be the brake paw is behind the notched bracket with the pedal all the way down. I would have to back the brake adjustment all the way to to the end of the rod to get it to catch on the top notch of the bracket. Here is a picture with the brake pedal pushed down. I can i can back to nut all the way to the end of the shaft but not sure I will have any brakes. It did happen a picture of my new idler installed.
