Deck input bearing.

The input bearing failed and turned within the casting badly scoring it,as I am in the UK parts are a little slow to purchase, and the grass was still growing so with a bit of angle iron, two plummer bearings and some 1" dia stainless which I had and a pulley which I had to buy I lashed this up which has now finished its third season.

So with this setup are you unable to lift the deck? The pulley "tower" you built looks high.

Was the same height as the original cast bracket but when I used it on a "tachomatic" hydro I had to move the bearings next to each other and shorten the shaft, also had to make a new front hanger and fit a lift lever! all a bit of a shame as the deck is as rotten as a rotten thing! looks like a lot of welding in the new year! phil.
