bean 85 #1 Posted December 27, 2011 hello, are there any replacements for the early 6-12 turf tires? something similar to the pic
grnlark 489 #2 Posted December 27, 2011 Hopefully soon! The originals back in the day were made by Firestone and the molds were then sold to Carlisle. Obviously, Carlisle removed the Firestone name and started selling them with Carlisle on the sidewall. About 3 years ago Carlilse discontinued making them due to diminishing demand, but I know the guy personally who bought the molds from Carlisle last year. He's actually in the process of working with Firestone to get permission to repro the tires himself but using the original Firestone name. The last time I talked to him, he was hopeful he'd be able to begin in mid 2012.
71_Bronco 1,072 #3 Posted December 27, 2011 If you go onto Miller Tire's site, they still have them shown, but are not listed. Maybe they can help you possibly, maybe have some old stock of them.
bean 85 #4 Posted December 27, 2011 thank you. I would like to get a set of the turf tires so I can remove the 6-12 super lugs, for mowing and when the yard is a little too soft.
