What tranny??

I know the GT-1642 has an 8 speed tranny but which one? Four pinion or eight pinion? One inch or one and an eighth inch axles?

I can't say on the twins but the GT1100's I've had both had 1" axles, now the work horse GT1800 hydro that I had, had the eaton 1100 like the 520

Yep, same here Kelly. I've had two GT-1100's and both had 1"axles. Was hoping the GT1642 had the beefier tranny.

Sparky, On MikeRj's site it list the GT-1642 Twin with a 5086..1"axle 4pinion diff...

the break down for the 5086 is also in the mechanical tranny manual..MIKE

I just replaced axle bearings, gears, & pinions in one last year:
