Hi guys, I am in the process of rebuilding my 10 hp Kohler k241s, and am replacing the bearings in the block for the crank, any ideas on how to press the bearings in.

One trick is to put the bearings in the freezer for a few hours and warm up the block or bearing plate with a heat gun or blow dryer.

I normally just use a store-bought bearing installation tool (different size aluminum "discs" with a handle that is tapped on the end with a hammer) or a brass drift and tap evenly around the edge of the outer race until the bearing is seated.
