Pollack Pete 2,273 #1 Posted December 21, 2011 I recently got a new to me 44 inch 2 stage snow blower. The belt cover was included but not installed. It's held on by 3 bolts. The bottom 2 are easily accessable. The top bolt is "hidden" behind the belt guard. There's a small, like 1/4 inch hole in the cover to,I guess get at this bolt. The upper bolt is missing.Anyone have any idea what this cover takes for the upper bolt. Thanks for any info. Hydro 130 #2 Posted December 23, 2011 It's a machine type screw, 1/4" thread with a 3/8" bolt head.
Pollack Pete 2,273 #3 Posted December 24, 2011 It's a machine type screw, 1/4" thread with a 3/8" bolt head. Thanks for that info.Now........just how do you get to the bolt to tighten or loosen it? It's completely hidden by the belt guard. There's a 1/4 inch hole drilled in the cover. Not nearly big enough for a socket to fit through.
Hydro 130 #4 Posted December 24, 2011 The cover goes over the outside and you just wrench the bolt in place. It's only 3/4" long. If you a problem send me another message and I will take a photo but I haven't been able to upload here so will send to your email.
