John Sullivan 24 #1 Posted December 18, 2011 Hello does anyone have a picture or explanation of a swept axle Thanx John
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted December 18, 2011 The front axle on your 520 is forward-swept. All that means is that the ends are moved further forward than the center pivot area, which increases the wheelbase of the tractor. The purpose behind it was to enable the use of the 60" mower deck. They also feature larger spindle bores to allow the use of heavier spindles and they are also a few inches wider than a "standard" axle, which increases stability.
